Kathmandu. Kamana Seva Bikas Bank Limited has distributed educational materials and school bags to the students of Shree Saraswati Primary School, Mechinagar, Jhapa as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Nirjar Poudel, manager of the bank’s brick kiln branch, handed over the materials to 40 students studying from nursery to grade 5 in the presence of school principal Phulmaya Budhathoki. The materials included school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils and other necessary educational materials.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Budhathoki expressed the belief that the bank’s support would have a positive impact on the educational access of the socio-economically backward students of Mechinagar area. He also said that the support provided by the bank would give more motivation to the students in their studies.
Bank employees, principals of Shree Saraswati Primary School, teachers, students and parents were present on the occasion.
Along with this, the bank will continue literacy programs of this nature in the coming days in coordination and collaboration with the stakeholders.
