Kathmandu. The stock market rose marginally on Monday. The NEPSE index closed 1.60 points higher at 2,694.66.
Out of the 13 groups in the NEPSE sub-group, seven have increased and six have decreased. The highest increase was recorded in the hotel and tourism group at 2.37 per cent, while the banking group saw the highest decline of 0.59 per cent.
Shares of 115 companies have increased in the market today, while 133 companies have declined. On this day, the market has made a transaction of about Rs 9.25 billion. Ngadi Group Power has done the most business.
