Kathmandu. Gold is one of the things that is most sought after in the world. Every country is now increasing its gold reserves.

Whenever tensions in the world begin to rise, countries start buying gold. In such a situation, the price of gold increases. Purchases still continue. This is because gold is considered a safe investment.

Crest

In addition, most people buy gold as an investment. Because its price has increased a lot in the last few days. The price of gold has doubled in nearly three years. In such a situation, the purchase of gold has also increased.

mining abundant

It is not that gold will rain in the world. Gold has spread on the earth. Gold is found in large quantities in many countries on earth. Those countries excavate it and prepare gold. Extracting gold from mines and bringing it as we can see it is done through many processes. Apart from rocks under the earth, gold is also found in the sea.

Where did the gold come from?

The history of gold on earth is linked to the formation of the earth. In the universe, there were destructive explosions of supernovae or stars and collisions of stars. It produced a lot of energy. The pressure inside such stars was so high that protons and electrons were pushed into their center. This created neutrons. Then heavy elements such as uranium, lead, silver, and gold were quickly made with iron by holding neutrons. This process happened very quickly. Then these elements spread to space. Thus metals such as gold and platinum arrived when the earth was being formed.

hit a rock and spread

That was about 4.5 billion years ago. At that time, the Earth collided with a martian-shaped rock. The debris from this collision formed the moon. This was followed by more bombing. Many rocks were left while orbiting the sun and many of them fell to the earth. Their downfall is called ‘late accretion’. This is about 15 of the planets’ evolution. At this time, some of the rocks that fell on the earth had metal components such as gold. That is, we can say that the gold on earth is the ruins of dead stars.

deposited in earth

There are many deep gold mines in the world. This shows that gold is not in the crust of the earth but much below. Maponeng in South Africa is the world’s deepest gold mine. It is about 4 kilometers deep.

Now the question arises that how did the gold reach so deep? The earth is divided into four parts. Inner core, outer core, mantle and layer. The part below the layer of the earth is called the layer and the part below the layer is called the mantle. The lower part is called the outer core and the inner core.

There is a part of the mantle, in which shallow areas melt and the deep area remains solid. This part captures the metals coming here and transports them to the mantle. According to scientists, when asteroids bombarded The Earth, it shook the earth’s deep layers. As a result, heavy metals, including gold, on the earth’s surface were submerged. As soon as it reached the partially melted area below, the metal began to sink further. Then the molten cover solidified. Due to which the metal was trapped there. For this reason, gold is found deep under the ground.

Is found in many forms gold

It is not that gold is found in the form of pieces or biscuits on earth. It is found in many ways under the earth. Some gold can be found in rocky ores. It can be found as a cluster, as a pure indigenous element, and with silver in natural alloy electrons. Erosion frees gold from other minerals. Gold sinks because it’s heavy. Sometimes it accumulates in the ocean through flowing water.

Yellow metal found elsewhere?

Apart from earth, gold is also found on the moon. However, its volume is much lower than on Earth. Gold is also found on Mars. We don’t have direct samples from Mars but we do have so-called Mars meteorites. They are found on Earth, but due to their isotopic properties, they have been discovered from Mars. Here, too, the amount of gold and platinum is much lower than on Earth. – Agency
