How much business did the non-life insurer bring in in 10 months? (with list)

Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies have done business of more than Rs 35.86 billion till April of the current fiscal year.

According to nepal insurance authority data, 14 non-life insurance companies and four non-life micro insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 35.86 billion by selling 2,666,887 insurance policies in the 10-month period from July to April.

During this 10-month period, companies have done the highest business of motor insurance. Through motor insurance, the companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 10.77 billion till Mid-April. Motor insurance accounts for 30.05 percent of the total non-life insurance business.

Similarly, the second highest number of business companies are seen in property insurance. The companies have collected a total of Rs 9.03 billion in insurance premiums till Mid-April. Property insurance accounts for 25.20 percent of the total business.

In the current fiscal year, the companies have earned Rs 6.06 billion in engineering and contract, Rs 3.85 billion in various sectors, Rs 2.10 billion in marine, Rs 1.90 billion in aviation, Rs 1.35 billion in livestock and agriculture and Rs 781 million in micro sector. Engineering and contracting account for 16.91 percent, miscellaneous 10.74 percent, marine 5.86 percent, hawaii 5.30 percent, livestock and agriculture 3.76 percent and micro 2.18 percent.
