Kathmandu. Corona virus infection, which is spreading rapidly in South Asian countries including India, has also been confirmed in Nepal.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, covid-19 has been confirmed in seven people in Nepal so far. Mahakha urged the neighbouring countries, especially China and India, to take special precautions as increasing cases have been detected.

A few days ago, the Division had held discussions with Health Minister Pradeep Poudel about the preparations. Health desks have been set up at border points and airports to control all kinds of epidemics.
Meanwhile, Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has directed the health authorities, including the Division, to identify the possible problems in time and make preparations to prevent the epidemic situation from going out of control with preparation.
Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Prakash Budhathoki, said that the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division is going to hold a virtual meeting with rapid response groups of all local levels to collect necessary information and carry out preparations.
