Kathmandu. Mahalakshmi Bikas Bank has honoured women entrepreneurs by organizing various programs through various branch offices across the country as part of its month-long annual celebration from May 27 to May 15 on the occasion of entering its 31st year.
The award is aimed at bringing financial access, economic development, social progress and gender equality into the mainstream. It is believed that this work will also help in promoting entrepreneurship.
In addition, on the occasion of the anniversary, the bank organized a massive blood donation program at 10 branch offices and central offices of the bank across the country. A total of 320 pints of blood was collected through the blood donation programme. The bank has organized blood donation programs on the occasion of its 31st anniversary to facilitate the management of blood, which is a challenge in the health sector.
In addition, the bank’s central office, provincial office and branch offices on Wednesday, May 15, 2018, showcased the employees of the local costumes to highlight the geographical and cultural situation of the country.
It has also organized a free health camp and eye camp at the bank’s central office. Similarly, prabhat pheri program with financial literacy was also held with the participation of employees of central office, provincial offices and branch offices. Placards related to banking services such as mobile banking, smart QR, deposits, loans, remittances etc. were used in the prabhat pheri program.
The fourth edition of Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket (Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League-2025, Series 4) will be held on June 21, 22, 23 and 24 with the participation of 24 teams.
