Kathmandu. The government has prepared an action plan to strengthen the health insurance fund.
In the economic reform implementation action plan prepared by the government, the policy has been taken to strengthen the health insurance fund. For this, the government has taken a policy to deposit health tax on tobacco, cigarettes and alcohol in the insurance fund to address the increasing burden of health insurance.
The government also has a plan to pay the liability created so far of health insurance.
Similarly, the government is planning to review the premium amount of health insurance, integrate various schemes related to health insurance and invest the amount collected as premium in high-return sectors.
The government has set a deadline to complete the implementation of these works related to health insurance within one year.
