Citizens Bank donates sanitation and consumables to Awaaz Nepal

Kathmandu. Citizens Bank International Limited has provided sanitation and consumables to Awaaz Nepal based in Surkhet, Karnali Province. The bank has provided this assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Working in the fields of single women, children, human trafficking, domestic violence and conflict victims, the organization serves about 40 women and children.

The bank has provided materials that last for about two months. Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bank Ganesh Raj Pokharel handed over the assistance at a function held in Surkhet.

Addressing the function, Pokharel said that he was happy to see that the bank’s small efforts have made a positive impact on the society. He said organisations like Awaaz Nepal have played an exemplary role in protecting the rights of single women and children in the society.

Awaaz Nepal has been working for a long time against human rights, women’s empowerment, child rights, justice and human trafficking.

Through this support, the bank aims to implement the sense of social responsibility and help the underprivileged sections of social justice.

Citizen’s Bank has been running social campaigns in various sectors including education, health, environment and skill development in the past. The bank has said that it will continue such support programs in the coming days.
