NLG Insurance conducts agriculture and livestock insurance programme

Kathmandu. Continuing the practice of reaching the farmers’ tole-to-tole and house-to-house, NLG Insurance Company Limited has organized a discussion program on agriculture and livestock insurance this time in Jhulneta Rukum West of Triveni Rural Municipality-3. The programme was held on May 15. Sunil Shrestha, business coordinator of NLG Insurance Company Limited, said that they are conducting programs related to agriculture and livestock insurance in different places to bring farmers under the insurance coverage.

Dipendra Kumar Wali, ward chair of Triveni Rural Municipality-3, Rukum West, who was the chief guest at the programme, urged all present to understand the importance of insurance.

He said that all insurance is indispensable, so agriculture and livestock insurance is very important for the farmers and it will be very fruitful if the insurance is done. He also urged all the farmers to get insurance by connecting with NLG.

Anurag Bohara, head of NLG Insurance Salyan branch, who was the coordinator of the program, thanked the personalities from different levels and strata present in the discussion program and answered the queries raised in the discussion.

He said that nlg would be taken to all the local levels and villages of Rukum West with such programs to bring all the farmers of Rukum West under the ambit of insurance to take advantage of the 80 percent subsidy given by the government to the farmers.

In coordination with Rukum branch and Salyan branch, he said that he would work round the clock to bring all the farmers of Rukum West under the ambit of insurance.

Salyan Branch Chief Bohara welcomed all present at the program and informed about the purpose of organizing the program, provisions of agriculture and livestock insurance, claim process and importance and explained about agriculture and livestock insurance.

Branch Chief Bohara also thanked all those who helped in making the program a success. The programme was attended by 51 people representing different localities of Triveni Rural Municipality-3, Rukum West and the program was conducted by Rukum West Branch Chief Hemraj Bohara.

Also present on the occasion were Rati Damai, ward member of Triveni Rural Municipality-3, Rukum West, journalist Nokhiram Thapa, young entrepreneurs Bibius Budha Magar, Janak Khatri, animal technician Jagat Khadka, among others.
