Kathmandu. MetLife Nepal has contributed to the empowerment of women by supporting the “Save the Gall” campaign. Environment-friendly reusable sanitary pads produced under the programme contribute to improving women’s menstrual health.

MetLife has purchased 1,000 reusable sanitary pads in partnership with Nepal Women’s Community Service Centre. The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities to women from vulnerable and vulnerable communities through skill-based training.

Crest

Women can earn an income by stitching sanitary pads and school uniforms, which helps in their financial self-reliance. The built-in pads are comfortable, clean and environment-friendly, with kits with the necessary instructions.

MetLife Nepal is planning to distribute these pads in different parts of Nepal. The program will raise the standard of living of women, distribute safe monthly students to girls and also conduct a campaign on menstrual hygiene and awareness among adolescent girls.
