Pokhara. On the occasion of the 57th Insurance Day, the Insurance Banking and Investment Study Group organized an awareness programme at Pokhara Lekhnath with the theme ‘Insurance for All, Basis for A Secure Future’.
The group has been established with the objective of raising awareness, research and publicity about insurance, bank and investment established by the students studying in BBA, BI and BBA Finance at Pokhara University School of Business. Sirjan Gyawali signed the banner and inaugurated it. Street plays, dance with insurance songs and various insurance-related slogans took place around Khudibazar, Power House and other places.
The program was presided over by Chairperson Kusum Shrestha and conducted by Secretary Anubhuti Ghimire. More than 200 students took part in the rally with placards and circumambulated villages and towns.
The rally was organized as part of the program with the aim of spreading information among the general public about the importance of insurance. Insurance experts, students, local community representatives and volunteers actively participated in the rally. The rally was organized with an aim to spread awareness about the need for insurance, benefits and its role in social security by circumambulating the main market area of Lekhnath.
The street play organized on this occasion presented the financial crisis faced by the individual and the family in the absence of insurance and the protection gained from it in an emotional way. The play gave the message of increasing trust in insurance services and bringing all citizens within the reach of insurance.
On behalf of the group, Chairman Kusum Shrestha said, “Insurance is not only a means of profit but also the basis of social security and risk management. Through this program, we want to convey the practical importance of insurance policy to the people. ’
It is believed that this program will help in raising awareness about insurance services among the citizens of Pokhara region. The group has pledged to conduct various programs of financial literacy in the coming days as well.
