One such slovakia startup Klein Vision has also demonstrated a product ready prototype of its first flying car ‘Air Car’. About which the startup claims to bring it to the market in the next year.
Klein Vision has been working on its aircar for the past three decades. According to the company, this car prototype has completed more than 170 flight hours and more than 500 takeoff and landing before reaching the production ready model.
Klein Vision’s aircar is set to hit the market next year. The company unveiled the prototype of this flying car during the Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner held in Beverly Hills last week. On this occasion, a company spokesperson confirmed that the flying car will be launched for sale next year. Its price will be about $ 800,000 to $ 1 million.
Klein Vision said it was a convertible aircar. Which can easily run on the road like regular vehicles and can also be converted into flying aircraft if needed. It only takes 2 minutes to transition from a normal car to an aircraft. This whole system works automatically.
Klein Vision claims that its Jetson-like vehicle will transform from a four-wheeler to a stable winged aircraft in less than two minutes. Its performance is shown in the video of the transition from flying mode to driving mode. In which you can see how the wings get out of the car. Which seems somewhat hardtop convertible. Once in flying mode, it generates a downforce using spoiler and elevator pitch.
The company said that its latest variant can fly at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour on the road and 250 kilometers per hour in the air. It has a maximum flight range of 1,000 kilometers. That is, once taken off, this aircar can easily travel up to 1,000 kilometers. Apart from this, the range of the car will be 800 kilometers. It has a 280-horsepower motor.
The length of the aircar is 5.8 meters, the width is 2 meters and the height is 1.8 meters. Its wings protrude when it is converted to plane mode. Then it is 7 meters long and 8.2 meters wide. Its wings are very carefully designed by the company. Which automatically fits into the car by just pressing one button.
The company is working on various variants of this aircar. However, the two-seater variant will be introduced first. Apart from this, the four-seater variant, twin engine variant and amphibious variant are also included in the company’s portfolio. This amphibious variant will be very special.
