Government focuses on bank’s bad loans, asset management company to be set up

Kathmandu. Recently, the increasing bad loans and non-banking assets of banks and financial institutions have caught the attention of the government.

The government has tried to manage the increasing bad loans and non-banking assets of the banks in the policy and program of the next fiscal year. For this, the government has taken a policy to set up a property management company.

President Ram Chandra Poudel presented the policy and programme in the joint meeting of the federal parliament today.

Similarly, the government has taken a policy to develop the digital economy by expanding information technology and infrastructure and to encourage cashless financial transactions.
