Kathmandu. Scientists studying aliens have had great success. British scientists have found signs of the existence of aliens on a planet in distant space.

Top astronomers at the University of Cambridge say they have seen the best signs of life-like activity ever on k2-18b, a distant planet. Scientists are 99.7 percent sure of this. “K2-18b is 120 light-years away and is about two and a half times the size of our Earth,” the Sun quoted scientists as saying. ’

Astronomers have identified a molecule called DMS in the planet’s atmosphere. On Earth, this molecule is produced by small algae living in our oceans. These cannot be seen by the human eye, but appear in large numbers in the form of colorful spots in the water. K2-18B may have similar alien life. “There is no mechanism in the literature that can explain what we are seeing until life is (possible),” said lead scientist Professor Nikku Madhusudan. ’

Astronomers have used data from the James Webb Space Telescope for the study. This giant telescope was launched in 2021. During the study, scientists found fingerprints of two molecules in the planet’s atmosphere – dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DADS). Both these molecules are produced only through life on Earth, which is usually microorganisms.

The scientists involved in the study believe that the results are so strong that the probability that it happened by chance is only 0.3%. It is probably a planet with a watery ocean and a thick hydrogen atmosphere. Professor Madhusudan said, “If this is a Hyssian world, then this planet will be covered with sea. ’

The term hycine is formed by mixing hydrogen and ossin together. Professor Madhusudan added, “We still do not know what the temperature of these oceans will be, but it is expected to be slightly hotter than Earth. ’
