Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that it is the responsibility of the concerned ministries to spend capital expenditure. So far, the responsibility of all capital expenditure has been the same as that of the Ministry of Finance. Speaking at a meeting of the Ministry-level Development Problem Resolution Committee held at the Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Poudel said that the Ministry of Finance will manage and facilitate the resources. It is the responsibility of the concerned ministry to implement the allocated budget and to achieve the progress of expenditure. ‘
On the occasion, Finance Minister Poudel urged the employees to pay attention to settlement of arrears, facilitation of foreign investment, capital mobilization, use of modern technology and service delivery.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Acting Governor Nilam Dhungana stressed the need for financial stability.
Similarly, Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay stressed the need to move ahead by making regulation and action effective.
Similarly, Revenue Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire said that priority should be given to internal good governance.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Finance, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, informed that the budget preparation process for the coming year has been forwarded as per the schedule.
