Kathmandu. The government has set a target to increase the renewal of health insurance to 90 in the next five years. The National Planning Commission (NPC) has set a target of increasing the renewal of health insurance to 90 per cent in the next five years.

According to the Commission’s 16th National Plan Report, the renewal of health insurance will reach 90 percent by 2085. According to the report, the health insurance renewal rate in 2080 was 69 percent.

Similarly, the plan aims to bring 70 per cent of the population under the health insurance coverage by 2085. According to the report, only 21 percent of the population was covered under health insurance in 2080.

The report also predicts that the effectiveness of health insurance will increase. The use of expertise and expertise in health insurance has also been mentioned.

Similarly, the report has also emphasized on restructuring the technology of health insurance. The report also pointed out the need to significantly revise the policies, rules and procedures related to health insurance. The report has also emphasized on specialist and emergency services, stating that health insurance will reach all citizens.

The report states that free health insurance services should be provided to the people of backward communities and minorities and accordingly a city and friendly environment should be created in the health institutions.

Although the Planning Commission report has set a big target of health insurance, there is no possibility of fulfilling it in the current situation. The Health Insurance Board does not have its own permanent structure. Most of the manpower is contractual. Due to the existing technology, it has not been easy to pay claims. Health institutions have been blocking services from time to time due to non-payment of claims. For this reason, to meet this goal of the Planning Commission, it is necessary to bring about a big change from the structure of health insurance to technology.
