Kathmandu. It has been revealed that artificial intelligence (AI) images are being used in motor insurance fraud. This trend is increasing all over the world.

According to the news published in the insurance business, it has been found that the companies claim motor insurance by presenting pictures of fake damaged vehicles made of AI in the world. “At present, there are various image-making devices available, through which images that look like real can be extracted,” the insurance business report said, adding, “This insurance claim is having a big impact on the process.” ’

In particular, generative adversarial networks (GANs) have been found to make more such images. Some experts have said that the problem is increasing as the images made from currently available AI tools look like reality.

Neil Avant, head of technology at FilitCheck, said companies were having trouble finding the reality of the images made of AI. “If a person uses AI to claim insurance, it looks more real than the previous year,” he said, adding, “Most people are using that image to get a large amount of insurance money.” ’

In 2023, a Zurich report also said that digital technology is being used highly in fake insurance claims. “There is also a growing trend of keeping unused registration numbers in vehicles and digitally modifying them,” the report said.

Scott Clayton, who studied fake insurance claims in Zurich, has now suggested that companies use high-end technology to control fake claims submitted using AI.
