Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has repaid the loan of the aircraft till mid-March.
Issuing a press release today, the NAC said that out of the loan liabilities taken from the Employees Provident Fund and The Citizen Investment Fund, the loan of two narrow-body aircraft has been completed for the month of March and the loan of two wide-body aircraft has been partially repaid to the total amount of Rs 539 million 55 thousand 281. According to the statement, the corporation has paid Rs 7.39 billion in installments till Mid-April.
The corporation has also sent a request letter to both the funds to help by waiving the interest and penal for the period of the impact and to facilitate the payment of the loan liability by increasing the number of installments as the business of the corporation has also been adversely affected due to the global corona virus. Further discussions are underway in this regard, the statement said.
