Kathmandu. The New Year 2082 has started from Monday.
Today is April 15. A public holiday has been declared across the country today on the occasion of New Year. On this day, Nepalis celebrate this day with great enthusiasm by organizing various programs.
There is a holiday for seven days in the month of April. Seven days are Saturday and the remaining three days are public holidays. Banks, insurance companies and public bodies will remain closed for these seven days. April 6, 13, 20 and 27 are saturdays, New Year’s Day on April 12, International Labour Day on April 18 and Buddha Jayanti and Ubhauli festival on April 29.
Public bodies as well as banks and insurance companies have not been open for 24 days as it is the month of April 31.
On the other hand, the stock market will remain open for only 20 days in April. The stock market will remain closed for seven days on Saturdays and public holidays and four Fridays (5, 12, 19 and 26).
