Kathmandu. Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) has announced a huge discount on late fees for renewing lapsed insurance policies. According to the information received from the company, if the insurance policies that have been spent previously are resumed from 2081 Chaitra 19 to 2082 Jestha 17, the company has stated that a discount will be provided on the late fee charged on those insurance policies.
It has been stated that a discount of 20 percent will be given on insurance policies that have been spent less than 3 years, 25 percent on insurance policies that have been spent from 3 to 5 years, and 30 percent on insurance policies that have been spent more than 5 years.
The company has stated that the discount process has been taken forward in view of the fact that maximum insureds have requested for a late fee discount on expired insurance policies.
Insured policies that have been included in this scheme will be eligible for a discount of 20 percent. The company has stated that during the revival, on the one hand, insurance will be resumed at affordable rates, increasing the confidence of the insured towards the company, and on the other hand, the insured’s risk will also be protected.
