CNI to organize Women’s Leadership Conference in Kathmandu on Chaitra 30

Kathmandu. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries is going to organize the second international level Women’s Leadership Summit on Chaitra 3 in Kathmandu. The conference is going to be organized in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. The conference has been coordinated by the CNI Women’s Leadership Forum.

The conference will be inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The conference will discuss technology and innovation, women in sustainable agriculture, investing in women, and beyond boundaries in session-wise topics.

At a press conference organized at the Confederation Secretariat on Tuesday, Confederation President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal said that the Women’s Leadership Summit will bring together change-motivated women leaders, national and international experts, and will hold in-depth discussions on policy issues to be taken by the Nepal government and stakeholders at the policy level. The summit will focus on current and successful examples that will inspire women.

The conference will be attended by about 500 people, including established, transformative and influential national and international women in the fields of politics, economics, social, health, environment, etc., said Chhaya Sharma, president of the CNI Women’s Leadership Forum.

Virendra Raj Pandey, senior vice president of the federation, said that such conferences will help move women forward. Title sponsor Nabil Bank Deputy General Manager Adarsh Bajgain said that the bank has been supporting women to advance and accordingly, the bank is also associated with this conference.

An exhibition of Made in Nepal indigenous products will also be held at the conference. The conference is titled as Nabil Bank and powered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Other organizations supporting the conference include Nepal Tourism Board, Ncell, MAW Bridhi Motors, Dabur Nepal, Unilever, Bottlers Nepal, Agricultural Development Bank, Chaudhary Foundation, Worldlink Communication, Vas Media, Event Max, Soaltee Hotels, Eco Aid, Inclusive Future Foundation.

The Confederation of Nepal Industries (CNI), as a representative organization of the private sector, has been working in collaboration with the Government of Nepal to create an industrial environment in Nepal, promote innovation, create employment, and develop overall economic development. The Confederation has been working in various sectors related to the economy by forming committees/councils/forums including industry, revenue, infrastructure, tourism, women’s leadership forum and providing various activities and policy suggestions for the respective sectors, in collaboration and coordination with other concerned organizations.
