Kathmandu. The EPS Korea branch of the Department of Foreign Employment has opened applications for the first phase Korean language test under the Point Based Selection System (PBSS) for 2026.
The application for the Korean language test has been opened for sending Nepali workers to South Korea. A total of 7,200 Nepali workers will be selected through language test.
After the completion of the application collection process, the date and schedule of the examination will be made public on the website of the office after the total number of applicants is determined. According to the office, the examination will be conducted with a maximum of 5 shifts in a day and the examination schedule can be changed on the basis of the number of applicants or if there is any other miscellaneous reason.
According to the office, the estimated pass percentage of PBSS will be 7,200. The pass percentage in the first phase of the PBSS language test will be based on the cut-off line as per the results provided by HRD Korea, EPS Center.
According to the office, the number of passes in PBSS may increase depending on the demand for workers in Korea.

One person will be able to fill out the application form in one area. After passing the first stage, the selected area cannot be changed.
Those who have passed the first phase examination will be able to be selected only after passing the skill test and performance evaluation in the second phase.
The applicant must be 18 years of age and not more than 39 years of age. Those who have been convicted by the court on criminal charges, who have not been deported from Korea after living illegally in the Republic of Korea, have been barred by the Government of Nepal from going to other countries and have not stayed in Korea on E-9 or E-10 visa for five years or more are not eligible to participate in the language test.
The application must be submitted online from July 27 to August 2.
