16th batch of LG Skill Education Program launched

Kathmandu. LG Electronics has launched the 16th batch of the LG Skills Education Program under the initiative of Chaudhary Foundation. Through this program, LG reaffirms its commitment to empowering Nepali youth by providing technical and vocational education tailored to industry needs.

The program aims to contribute to society by equipping youths with vocational and technical skills as per the demand of the market, which aims to increase employment opportunities, create a base of sustainable livelihood and produce skilled human resources.

The LG Skills Education Program, which aims to provide opportunities for successful careers to Nepali youths by bridging the gap between education and employment, has been developing skills in high-demand technical fields through practical and practical learning.

So far, 16 training batches have been conducted under the programme, which started in 2024. So far, 332 participants have received vocational education through polytechnic, electrical and mechanical training. The current 16th batch has 18 participants.

During the inauguration, Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore Bangladesh Branch Mr. Gerald Sango Chun and Chairman of Chaudhary Foundation Nirvana Chowdhury observed the current batch attending the training.

Through continuous collaboration and investment in technical education, LG Skills Education Program and Chaudhary Foundation are committed to creating long-term positive impact by imparting knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a changing labor market.

Speaking on the occasion, Gerald Sango Chun, Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore, Bangladesh Branch, said, “We are proud to enter the next important phase of our partnership focused on youth empowerment and skill development. We express our sincere gratitude to KMC for its cooperation and support in this meaningful initiative. Skills can be learned at any age, so learning should never stop. Life becomes better when we move forward together and give back to society. ‘

Nirvana Chaudhary, Chairman of Chaudhary Foundation shared, “We believe equipping people with practical skills is one of the most worthwhile investments. In partnership with LG Electronics we aim to create more opportunities and contribute to the economic development of the country by expanding their livelihood potential. In the days to come, our commitment to sustainable career building and skilled workforce development will continue. ‘
