WorldLink’s IPO, which was converted into a public limited six years ago, is still three years away

Kathmandu. Worldlink Communication Limited, a private sector-promoted telecom service provider, is going to launch an IPO within the next three years.

The advertisement published by WorldLink for the appointment of ceo has included the issue of raising capital from the public through the IPO within the next three years.

The future responsibilities of the new CEO include the issue of completing the IPO issue within a period of three years along with other responsibilities. The advertisement also stipulates the responsibility to act as a point of contact with investment bankers, legal consultants, auditors and other external consultants for ipo issuance purposes.

The company was established as a private limited company on February 1, 2017 and was converted into a public limited company on April 1, 2018.

According to the provisions of Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2063, the telecom service provider company with a paid-up capital of more than Rs 50 million must be operated as a public limited company.

WorldLink has recently signed an investment agreement with The International Finance Corporation (IFC) for an investment of $ 29 million to expand internet services in Nepal.

So far, no internet service provider or telecom company like Ncell has issued an IPO except Nepal Telecom.
