When non-life insurance companies brought in over 28.5 billion rupees in business in 8 months, how much of it came from which sector?

Kathmandu. In the first eight months of the current fiscal year, non-life insurers have generated a business worth over Rs 28.5 billion.

According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority today, up to Falgun, 14 non-life insurers and 4 small non-life insurers have issued 20,073,463 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 28,600.84 billion. Motor insurance has the highest share in the total business. Up to the review period, companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 8,600.7 billion through motor insurance. This is 30.06 percent of the total business.

Similarly, until Falgun, insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 7,160.57 billion through property insurance. The share of property insurance in the total business is 25.05 percent.

Until Falgun of the current fiscal year, companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 4.63 billion 84 million through engineering and contract insurance. The share of this sector in the total business is 16.21 percent.

Until Falgun, insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.17 billion 66 million for miscellaneous insurance, Rs 1.67 billion 97 million for aviation insurance, Rs 1.66 billion 43 million for marine insurance, Rs 1.91 billion 17 million for livestock and agriculture insurance, and Rs 591 million for small insurance. The total business consists of 11.102 percent of miscellaneous insurance, 5.87 percent of aviation insurance, 5.82 percent of marine insurance, 3.82 percent of livestock and agricultural insurance, and 2.07 percent of small insurance.
