Kathmandu. Vietnam has a revised employment law with unemployment insurance.
Vietnam’s National Assembly has approved the amended law by 99.12 percent. The amended law seeks to create jobs, register labour, skill-based training and unemployment insurance. It is believed that the amended law will provide relief to both the youth who are employed and unemployed.
According to the amended law, people aged 15 years and above will be allowed to work. Discrimination in employment has been abolished through the amended law. A stringent provision has been made in the amended law to prevent employment fraud and misuse of labor data. A provision has also been made to protect the personal details provided during labor registration.
With the implementation of this amended law, youth in Vietnam will now be provided with job counseling, skill training and financial support through unemployment insurance. For this, 1 percent of the monthly salary of the employees will be deducted and the employer and the government will have to contribute 1 percent to it. – Agency
