Kathmandu. The US government is going to continue the Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA Nepal).
Now the US assistance for the implementation of mcc Nepal compact operated by MCA Nepal is going to continue. Issuing a statement today, MCA Nepal welcomed the decision of the US government to allow the implementation of the MCC Nepal Compact to continue under the special exemption in the context of the suspension of US foreign assistance.
MCA Nepal is working closely with Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to implement compact activities, including completion of procurement process related to construction of 297 kilometers of electricity transmission line and road maintenance. MCA-Nepal is continuing the construction of three substations and 18 kilometers cross-border transmission line, which had already started reviewing foreign assistance.
MCA Nepal is committed to completing these infrastructure projects that will have a significant impact on the development of Nepal’s energy and transportation sectors. “We thank MCC for its continued partnership in implementing this compact,” the statement said.
