Kathmandu. The US Trump administration is preparing to impose a travel ban on citizens of 41 countries.
This information was given by the news agency Reuters, citing a source familiar with the matter and a memo. The memo includes the names of a total of 41 countries. These countries have been divided into three groups.
The first group includes 10 countries. These include Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea and other countries. It is said that their visas will be completely banned.
The second group includes the names of 5 countries. These include Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar and South Sudan. These countries will face partial suspension. Which will affect tourist and student visas as well as immigrant visas.
The third group includes a total of 26 countries. These include Belarus, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and some other countries. If the governments of these countries do not take the initiative to correct the weaknesses within 60 days, the memo states that a partial ban on issuing visas to these countries will be considered.
A US official has said that this list may change. This list is yet to be approved by the US administration and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. –Agency
