Travel advisory issued after Israel-Iran war intensifies, appeals to postpone travel

Kathmandu. Nepal has issued a travel advisory as the war between Israel and Iran intensifies. At the same time, it has appealed to the Nepalis living in those countries to stay in safe places and postpone their travel to those countries.

In the travel advisory issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepali citizens who want to travel from Nepal to Israel, Iran or other countries of the Middle East, foreign employment and other purposes have been urged not to travel. The Ministry has appealed to postpone such visits and visits as long as the current complex situation persists.

The Ministry has urged The Nepali citizens living in Israel and Iran not to go out of their homes or bunkers and shelters except at the specified time and place keeping their safety first. The ministry has also appealed to continue to take and follow the information, standards and information issued by the Israeli government regarding security vigilance, travel, movement and safe places.

The Ministry has urged the Nepali community and the Embassy of Nepal to remain in regular touch, to regularly check the information issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy and information related to travel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Consular Services and Embassy of Nepal have been advised to fill their details form as soon as possible by registering on the ‘online link’ placed on the ‘website’ of Tel Aviv to facilitate rescue and assistance and ‘trekking’ in case of crisis.

The Ministry said that the Government of Nepal is closely monitoring the developments between Israel and Iran. “The Nepali nationals living there are safe so far and appropriate steps will be taken as per the need to protect their interests,” the travel advisory said. ’

Likewise, necessary initiatives will be taken to facilitate the nepali citizens who want to return voluntarily to Nepal as they have to return to Nepal through a third country due to the closure of air routes between Israel and Iran.
