Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has reduced the limit on debit cards.
KATHMANDU: The central bank has reduced the limit on withdrawals from debit cards by amending the Integrated Directive on Payment System 2081 issued by the central bank to the payment institutions. Now, customers can withdraw up to Rs 20,000 per transaction, Rs 50,000 per day and Rs 3 lakh per month from the debit card issued by BFIs.
As per the existing provision, customers could withdraw up to Rs 25,000 per transaction, Rs 100,000 per day and Rs 4 lakh per month.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), however, has kept the transaction limit of prepaid cards and credit cards unchanged. As per the offer, you can withdraw Rs 10,000 per transaction and Rs 20,000 per day from prepaid card.
Credit cards can transact up to 10 percent of the approved limit.
