Kathmandu. The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has disbursed Rs 400 million under the social security programme in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. More than 19,000 depositors and their dependent families have benefited from the programme during this period.
The fund has provided the highest amount of money for the treatment of common and deadly diseases. According to the Fund, rs 108.2 million has been distributed to 2,953 depositors for general disease treatment expenses under the health treatment facility. Similarly, Rs 141 million has been provided to 1,013 depositors for the treatment of deadly diseases.
Similarly, 14,565 depositors have received Rs 109.2 million under maternity and child care facilities.
The Fund has provided Rs 16.8 million to the families of 420 depositors who died in accidents or accidents under the Kazkiriya Grant. The dependent families of 125 depositors have received Rs 24.8 million as accident compensation.
The fund last fiscal year 2080. A total of Rs 404.7 million was distributed to about 20,000 depositors by the third quarter of 2081. A total of 4,287 depositors have received Rs 255.2 million as medical expenses.
Similarly, Rs 112.6 million was distributed to 15,017 depositors for maternity and child care. A total of 534 dependent families received Rs 21.3 million as kajkiria grant and 78 depositors received Rs 15.6 million as accident compensation.
The previous fiscal year 2079. By the third quarter of 1980, the fund had disbursed more than Rs 290 million. Rs 120.1 million was distributed to 16,105 people for maternity and child care, Rs 26.8 million to 671 families as kajkiria grant and Rs 113.2 million to 1,719 depositors for medical treatment expenses.
