Kathmandu. India’s leading automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new variant of its best-selling smartphone Mahindra Scorpio N. The new Scorpio is now safer than ever.
The company has launched its new top-spec variant ‘Z8L’. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) facility has been provided. Equipped with this special safety feature, this new variant starts at Rs 21.35 lakh.
Apart from this, Mahindra has also expanded the lineup of Scorpio N and launched a new ‘Z8T’ variant. Which will be located between the already existing Z8 and the top-spec variant Z8L equipped with ADAS. This variant does not feature an advanced driver assistance system. Equipped with many other smart features, the starting price of this variant has been fixed at Rs 20 lakh 29 thousand.
The new Scorpio NZ8L variant with ADAS comes in 6-seat and 7-seater configurations. Which is about Rs 46,000 more expensive than the Z8L variant (Rs 20.89 lakh – Rs 24.95 lakh). But this price is nominal in front of this new safety feature. Because this safety feature suite contains many excellent features. Which makes it even better.
What will be available in the ADAS package?
- Front collagen warning
- automatic emergency breaking
- Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go
- lane departure warning, lane keep assist
- Traffic sign recognition
- High beam assist
- Speed Limit Assist
- Front Vehicle Start Alert
The company claims that these special features are not available in any petrol-diesel SUV.
Apart from adding ADAS safety to the new Scorpio N and incorporating new variants, there has been no change in its engine mechanism. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox option.
Scorpio N’s 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive system is also available with terrain and low-range modes for those who enjoy a little adventure.
