Kathmandu. In recent times, the trend of giving different types of gifts on birthdays has been increasing. Life insurance policies have become a popular gift these days, not only for savings and security, but also for saving money instead of spending money.

In this regard, Dinesh Pokharel, a resident of 09 Niwas of Birendranagar Municipality, has gifted his wife Sushila Neupane a life policy worth Rs. 1.5 million from Citizen Life Insurance Company Birendranagar branch on her 35th birthday on Chaitra 4. After the policy period ends, after receiving the sum assured and bonus, if the insurance continues to be active and the insured survives after 70 years, the same policy taken today will pay an amount that will increase by 20 percent of the sum assured every 5 years, just like a pension. Therefore, even if the children do not see them in old age, this insurance policy will look after them, so they gave the gift.
