Kathmandu. The government is now going to take a policy to deal with real estate only through a registered agency.
It has been informed that such a policy is being taken through the economic reform implementation action plan prepared by the government. A committee formed by the government to implement the recommendations of the report of the High Level Economic Reform Suggestion Commission formed under the chairmanship of former Secretary Rameshwor Prasad Khanal has prepared an action plan with sectoral and ministerial responsibilities and deadlines.
According to the action plan, arrangements are now being made to carry out commercial transactions of real estate only through registered agencies to control uncontrolled prices and transactions of real estate.
Similarly, it has been stated in the action plan that there will be a complete ban on the fragmentation of land by fixing the minimum plot size and a legal provision will be made to divide the land on the floor so that the share of the ancestral property is not fragmented.
The government plans to implement this rule within a year.
