‘Ramayan’ to be aired in Nepali language on DishHome’s Fun TV

Kathmandu. Nepal’s leading entertainment channel DishHome’s Manoja TV is going to broadcast the much-acclaimed television series ‘Ramayana’ in Nepali language. This historic religious series will be aired every Thursday and Friday at 8 pm.

‘Ramayan’ is a television series based on the Indian Sanskrit epic Ramayana, which was produced by renowned producer, director and writer Ramanand Sagar. The series was first aired on DD National Channel in India from 1987 to 1988. Presented by Ashok Kumar and Ramanand Sagar, the music of the series was composed by Ravindra Jain.

‘Ramayan’ made history by getting 82 percent viewership in India during the broadcast. According to the BBC, ‘Ramayan’ is a series viewed by more than 650 million viewers. The series was also re-broadcast on more than 20 channels in 17 countries around the world. ‘Ramayan’ set the record for the world’s most watched television show with 77 million viewers in a single day when it was re-aired during the Corona lockdown in 2020.
