Kathmandu. The government has appointed Radha Pokharel as the female director of the Nepal Insurance Authority.
Pokharel has been appointed as the female director of the Authority by a decision of the Finance Minister. Her appointment has been effective from Chaitra 1. Her term will be 4 years.
The Insurance Act, 2079 BS has made a provision to have a female member in the Authority’s board of directors. In accordance with the same provision, Pokharel has been appointed as a female director by Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel.
Pokharel is also a director of Vishal Bazaar Company. She is well known among investors in the stock market.
