Kathmandu. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has asked the government to provide details of financial gains taken by chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha.
Sebon spokesperson Niranjay Ghimire made the request in a statement. “If anyone is aware that he has taken any kind of financial or illegal benefit by taking the name of the SEBON chairman, then provide the factual details,” the statement said. ’
Sebon has drawn serious attention to the recent news published in some media and social media making baseless, baseless, fictitious and misleading allegations against SEBON Chairman Shrestha.
“It is clear that the systematic transmission of such sponsored content in a planned manner with the reforms in the capital market sector is aimed at tarnishing the image of the regulatory body and discouraging the protection of the interests of the general investors,” the statement said.
