Non-life insurers: Profits of 10 companies fell, only two increased, two in losses

Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies have published financial statements for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. According to the financial statements published by the companies, two companies Oriental Insurance and National Insurance Company are in losses. Compared to the same period last year, the profit of 10 companies has decreased.

According to the financial statements of the review period, Only Shikhar Insurance Company and Sanima GIC Insurance Company have earned profits compared to the previous year. Shikhar Insurance Company has earned a profit of Rs 357 million in the same period. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 350 million in the year-ago period. Compared to the previous year, the company’s profit has increased by 1.79 percent.

Sanima Insurance Company has earned a profit of Rs 233.55 million in the same period. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 209.77 million in the year-ago period. Compared to the previous year, the company’s profit has increased by 16.21 percent.

10 company profits fall

Looking at the financial statements for the third quarter, the profit of 10 companies has decreased. Siddhartha Premier Insurance’s profit has decreased by 24.03 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 453.6 million. National Insurance Company’s profit has decreased by 23.37 percent compared to the same period last year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 395.6 million. Neco Insurance’s profit has decreased by 2.16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 369.3 million.

Similarly, Himalayan Everest Insurance’s profit has decreased by 45.20 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 332.3 million. IGI Prudential Insurance’s profit has decreased by 43.31 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 265.1 million. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance’s profit has decreased by 47 percent compared to the same period last year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 251.9 million.

On the other hand, Prabhu Insurance’s profit has decreased by 48.84 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 200 million. Nepal Insurance’s profit has decreased by 39.44 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 178.4 million. NLG Insurance’s profit has decreased by 9.78 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 123.3 million. United Ajod Insurance’s profit has decreased by 57.65 percent compared to the same period last year. During the period, the company earned a profit of Rs 116.1 million.

Two companies in losses

During the period, Oriental Insurance had a loss of Rs 138.3 million while National Insurance had a loss of Rs 728.1 million.
