Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies in the current fiscal year 2081. In the month of May 2018, about Rs 4 billion has been brought in business.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority(NEA), 14 non-life insurers sold a total of 228,804 insurance policies in May alone and collected a total of Rs 3.93 billion in insurance premiums. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance is the largest importer of business in May. The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 462.2 million in a month.
Himalayan Everest Insurance is in second place. The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 432.7 million in May.
Siddharth Premier Insurance is the third most traded company. The company collected a total insurance premium of Rs 428.9 million in May.
Similarly, Shikhar Insurance Company collected Rs 409 million, IGI Prudential Insurance Rs 369.9 million, United Ajod Insurance Rs 326 million, NLG Insurance Company Rs 319 million and Sanima GIC Insurance Rs 264 million in the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Neco Insurance earned Rs 256.2 million, Oriental Insurance Rs 168.5 million, Nepal Insurance Rs 155.7 million, National Insurance Company Rs 151.3 million, Prabhu Insurance Rs 144.9 million and National Insurance Rs 47.6 million.
