Kathmandu. The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has urged the people not to organize any kind of rally or gathering without prior approval.
Issuing a notice today, the Kathmandu administration made this request. The administration has also decided not to allow such meetings or rallies to maintain peace and order.
The administration has said that information has been received that different groups will organize motorcycle rallies and assemblies in different places of Kathmandu district on Saturday. “As you are all aware, there have been incidents of vandalism, arson and damage to public and private property in the days following the Jenji agitation of September 23,” the notice reads. In this connection, it has been decided not to give permission to any such rally, demonstration from this office as the rally, procession, sit-in, assembly and demonstration by different groups may increase the security challenge and create more complications in the task of ensuring security to the general public. ’
Therefore, the administration has clarified that this notice has been sent for information to all concerned as per the following clause (a) of sub-section 3 of Section 6 of the Local Administration Act 2028 and Section 19 of the Police Act 2012.
