Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) is preparing to open its share market from September 17.
The stock market has been closed since September 25 due to the Genji agitation. “Preparations are underway to open the share market,” said Murhari Parajuli, spokesperson of NEPSE. ’
NEPSE has closed the stock market in view of the adverse situation arising after the Genji movement. In the latest notice, NEPSE had informed that the market will remain closed till September 2.
There was pressure on NEPSE to open the share market at a time when the situation was returning to normal and the banks and financial institutions were also opened. “NEPSE has already informed the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) about opening the market,” said a source at NEPSE. Therefore, NEPSE is preparing to open the market from Wednesday. ’
