Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has demanded an investigation into the appointment of Chairman Hemanta Basyal and CEO Chudamani Chapagain.
Issuing a press release today, NEPSE Employees Association made this demand. The association has also demanded investigation into the appointment and activities of Basyal and CEO Chapagain.
The association has made this demand by submitting a press release to the Ministry of Finance. The employees of NEPSE have been agitating for the last 25 days over the issue of bonus. They have demanded a legal 5 percent bonus. However, the Ministry of Finance has been sending letters for the last 3-4 years directing the government to distribute only 1 percent bonus.
The case has now reached the Supreme Court. The NEPSE Management Committee on Wednesday filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court seeking legal explanation on the bonus issue.
