Kathmandu. Despite being an agricultural country, grapes worth rs 2 billion have been imported into Nepal.
Nepal has imported grapes worth Rs 1.89 billion in the 11 months of the current fiscal year. Nepal imported 22.9 million kg of grapes in the last 11 months.
Nepal seems to have imported grapes from China and India. Nepal imported grapes worth Rs 82.5 million from China while grapes worth Rs 1.81 billion were imported from India.
Total grape import of grapes worth Rs 1.89 billion has only the data of fresh grapes. In the last 11 months, dried grapes have been imported worth Rs 330 million.
