Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority’s agent license online examination system has come to a standstill at the main time when the life insurance company has to do business. The NEA leadership has not been responsible for resolving the problem of the examination system that has been stalled for the last five days.

The representatives of the insurers who have been going from the provincial to the head office of the AUTHORITY have not been able to find a solution to the problem of irregularities seen in the examination system. The employees of the concerned departments of the NRA are not in a position to provide any solution other than replying that efforts are being made to solve the technical problems.

The months of June and June are sensitive and important times to produce new agents and bring in new businesses. At this time, the top managers of life insurers are worried about the closure of the source of agent production.

In the recent past, the details of the participation of the candidates who participated in the examination sitting in front of the web camera full time in the examination conducted in the second week of May are missing from the authority’s database. As before, the AUTHORITY has issued a notice to conduct the examination again by issuing a ritual notice canceling the examination.

According to life insurers, 500 to 2,000 applicants are waiting for the exam. Due to lack of technical knowledge about participation in the examination, the candidates are forced to appear in the insurer’s office and take the exam. The authority has not been able to find in its database the details of the candidates who have chosen most of the correct answers by taking the exam full time by participating in the examination away from home or by adjusting the job time.

The problem has not been addressed even as the employees of the agency department of the insurer go to the AUTHORITY every day complaining that even the agents who participated in the examination did not get the license. Aspirants who are ready for the exam after participating in the training are also waiting for their turn to participate in the online examination.

According to the victims, before appearing in the examination, the details of the candidates should be entered in the examination portal of the AUTHORITY. However, employees of life insurers’ branches, sub-branches and state offices from all over the country have not been able to enter the details.

According to the latest information related to online examination published on the NEA’s website, the examination was postponed due to technical problems in the examination held on May 15. Earlier, the examination scheduled for May 15 was postponed due to technical reasons.

After examining the notice regarding the postponement of the examination published on the NEA’s website, the examinations announced on April 13, 14 and 27, March 11, 19 and 20, 20, 20, 22 and 23 were postponed in the month of February.

Examinations have been postponed at least three times a month even after examining the notice of the AUTHORITY in general. The software related to conducting the examination, developed by the AUTHORITY at a cost of Rs 300,000, was found to be problematic at the initial stage.

Health Insurance Board database itself missing

Serious errors have also been found in the database of the Health Insurance Board. Current fiscal year 2081. The details related to research admissions from June 8 to September 2018 have been lost from the board’s database. Data collection in government agencies is so unsafe that the board does not even have an alternative storage center.

The Board has issued a public notice on May 28 requesting the service provider health institutions to re-enter the details pending to be paid from June to September of the current fiscal year.
