Let’s go to Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (INSURANCEA) is going to add part-timer manpower to expedite the disposal of complaints against insurers.
The NEA is preparing to deploy the employees who have graduated in law from within the office as partial manpower to meet the immediate needs as it will take time to create additional posts.
According to the AUTHORITY, applications have been sought from employees willing to work extra time outside office hours for employees of any service group who have passed LLB. NeA will provide an allowance to the employees who are entrusted with the work for additional work.
NeA Chairman Sewantak Pokharel has been working for a long time at Bhansar checkpoint and Bhansar department, so it seems that the same practice has been started in the AUTHORITY like the facilities available to the customs employees for working extra time.
Deputy Director Ranjita KC, Assistant Director Nikhil Dangol, Assistant First Duo Prabhas Niraila and Aakriti Dahal are currently working in the complaint and grievance hearing section of the NRA. As students of the concerned subject, the complaint branch has been formed on the basis of only two students.
Due to limited manpower, the number of cases in the AUTHORITY has increased due to the addition of new complaints as the old cases could not be decided quickly.
The employees of the law section have not been able to submit a report with opinion to the board of directors for speedy study and case writing and decision as they have to study the files at a fast pace as expected.
According to the monthly data published by the NRA, a total of 499 cases, including old ones, are pending, out of which 113 cases have been disposed of till Mid-May. A total of 386 cases are yet to be decided.
