Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has been very harsh on immigrants. He has taken a big step with regard to immigrants in america.
The Trump administration is reviewing the valid visas of more than 55 million people who have violated any rules and regulations in the country. Due to this, the risk of deportation is also increasing.
According to the Us State Department, the visas of all US visa holders will be checked. “Because these individuals are eligible for permission to enter or stay in the United States,” the department said. ’
If any discrepancies are found, their visas will be revoked and if they are in the US, they will be deported, the department said. Since becoming president, Trump’s focus has been on deporting immigrants who have entered the US or are living there illegally.
The U.S. government says visa testing is a continuous and time-consuming process. This means that the visas of those who are allowed to stay in the US can also be canceled.
Julia Gallett, co-director of the U.S. Immigration Policy Program at the Migration Policy Institute, says. “There are 55 million visas to be investigated. Some of these people may be out of the US. Which has a multi-entry tourist visa. Gallett questioned the value of spending resources on people who never return to the United States.
According to the State Department, we are looking for signs of this disqualification. This includes overstaying the designated officer’s time limit on the visa, criminal activity, threat to public safety, involvement in any kind of terrorist activity or supporting a terrorist organization.
“We review all available information as part of our research,” the U.S. government said. This includes law enforcement or immigration records or any other information that comes to light after the visa is issued. which indicates a possible disqualification. ’
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. would no longer stop issuing worker visas to professional truckers. “This change will come into effect immediately,” Rubio said, adding that an increasing number of foreign drivers driving large tractors, trailers or trucks on U.S. roads is putting American lives at risk. ’
In recent months, the Trump administration has made it mandatory for truckdrivers in the US to speak and read English. “The aim is to improve road safety,” the transport department said. In some cases, the number of deaths in road accidents has increased due to lack of ability of drivers to read road signs or speak English. ’
