Kathmandu. Liberty Micro Life Insurance has recently entered into an agreement with various co-operative institutions of Bagmati Province. The company has signed an agreement with Exotic Saving and Credit Cooperative, Kalopool 5, Paleswan Savings and Credit, Teku, Jai Maa Azima Savings and Credit, Hadigaon, Click Saving and Credit, Ratopool, Pratibha Multipurpose Society, Lalitpur, Uttarbahini Multipurpose Cooperative, Gokarneshwar, Jyoti Mirmire Collective Savings and Credit, Panauti.
Micro-life insurance has been provided at a very affordable rate to provide relief to its borrowers and members in accidents and to protect the loan of the organization.
Liberty Micro Life Insurance and concerned representatives of various cooperatives signed the agreement.
Representatives of the organization said that other cooperatives and organizations will also be informed about this service to avail this service as
is very cheap, quality, targeted at low-income groups and can avail the service online.
Liberty Micro Life is moving ahead by conducting insurance awareness programs for borrowers and members in cooperatives across the country. About 60 percent of Nepalis, especially those with low incomes, have been calling upon all local governments and cooperative microfinance companies to get insurance to cover the target group who are not covered by insurance.
