Kathmandu. The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has urged people to use social media responsibly.
The Cyber Bureau issued a press release today and made this request. ‘Misusing social media can lead to legal problems and as a result, legal troubles may also arise,’ the press release said. ‘Therefore, we request you to use social media with respect and be socially responsible.’
The Cyber Bureau has drawn attention to the increasing number of postings and dissemination of misleading information that can spread unrest and violent activities in society through social media and digital platforms. “As such expressions can create a violent environment in society and have a serious impact on social harmony and the country’s security system, we request you not to encourage such activities and not to share content related to such issues on social media,” the statement said.
