Kathmandu. South Korean car manufacturer Kia has decided to recall 80,000 cars from the US market.
Kia has decided to recall taxes from the US market after problems were found in the electrical wiring of the car. The company has announced that it is recalling the car after it was found that the wires connected under the car’s front seat could interfere with the use of airbags and seat belts.
The company is recalling 80,255 Niro EVs, plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and hybrid cars built from 2023 to 2025, according to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The company has instructed dealers in the US to recall the cars and fix the problem. Now dealers will inform car owners about this via e-mail.
Earlier, in November, Kia and Hyundai recalled 280,000 electric cars from the US market. A problem was found in the transistors of those cars, which could have damaged the car’s battery. –Agency
