Kathmandu. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed the start of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel at 4 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
According to Iran International News, he ignored the word ceasefire, but said Tehran would stop military operations.
“Together with all Iranians, I thank our brave armed forces, who are ready to defend our beloved country until the last drop of their blood and who respond to every attack by the enemy until the last moment,” he wrote on social network X.
Israel staged a series of heavy attacks on the Iranian capital from late Monday to Tuesday morning local time.
Foreign Minister Araghchi wrote in AXA, “Iran has repeatedly made it clear: Israel started a war on Iran, not vice versa.”
“So far, there has been no “agreement” on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, if the Israeli regime stops its unlawful attacks against the Iranian people sooner than 4 a.m. Tehran time, we have no intention of continuing our counter-attacks later,” he stressed.
According to The Mehr News Agency, Foreign Minister Araghchi concluded the comments by saying, “A final decision to stop our military operations will be made later.” “
